In 1960 the 3d United States Infantry organized the Old Guard Fife and Drum Corps for official musical support to the Presidential Escort and to revive our country's musical heritage. In the 40+ years since that time, over 500 men and women have served in one of the most unique and challenging assignments that the military has to offer - the Old Guard Fife and Drum Corps.
